EVs IRL - Helping ordinary Canadians going EV
EVs IRL - Helping ordinary Canadians going EV

I was one of the first 200 people in Newfoundland to own an electric vehicle when I bought my first in 2020, and have been surprised ever since at how reluctant the public here (and in much of the rest of Canada) has been to see them as a realistic option.

Drawing on my own experience and research this site aims to debunk some of the myths and highlight the true barriers to wider EV adoption. Mainstream car owners thinking of making the switch to BEVs will find practical tips for how to do it successfully, and policymakers and businesses can read about how best to support the coming change.

I am mainly focused on the Canadian context but of course will highlight research and best practices from other countries as I go.
